Trivia - Ambassador Bridge

For those who have been crossing the Ambassador bridge from Windsor, Ontario to Detroit, Michigan - do you know who owns the bridge? Neither United States or Canada.

The Ambassador Bridge - is the only privately owned border crossing between the US and Canada. This bridge is owned by Manuel “Matty” Moroun, 2009 Forbes Magazine's 321 richest man in America, and stakeholder of Universal Truckload Services Inc.

Ottawa wants to buy the bridge from the Morouns - but backed down at the asking price of $3B and incentives. Meanwhile, the Morouns says it is ready to construct a new six-lane "cable-stayed" crossing which they say they can finish with less than $400 million of their own cash.

Interesting.

This post is more for me than for any other. With the New Year comes resolutions to change and renewed determinations. Hopefully, enough motivation and determination to make it through the year.

To everyone else who has goals for this year - nothing is impossible!
